Australian visa information
Moving to Australia is a big decision, and being prepared will help relieve some of the stress of the move. Before you book your removal to Australia, you need to ensure you've got your residence permit and work visa sorted.
Once you've made the decision that you want to make Australia your new home, securing a visa is the biggest step of your move. We've gathered together some general information on Australian visas to help you determine if you qualify for a visa for Australia and get you started on the process of securing one.
There are four main types of visas for Australia: skilled visa, business visa, partner visa and family visa in addition to several other types of Australian visas. Your individual circumstances will determine which one is appropriate for you and your family. Below a very brief overview of the various types of visa available.

Australia Skilled Visas - Skilled Migration Program
All migrants applying for an Australian Skilled Visa must be under the age of 45 at the time of application, and there are three types of Skilled Visas which you may quality for:
- Skilled Independent (Permanent) - Subclass 189
- Skilled Nominated (Permanent) - Subclass 190
- Skilled Regional (Provisional) - Subclass 489
Australian Business Visas
There are currently three types of Australian Business Visas available:
- Business Talent Visa (Permanent)
- Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional)
- Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent)
Note: Each requires a substantial investment from the potential migrant
Partner Visa
These visas are for the partners of Australian citizens or permanent residents. There are currently three types of partner visas:
- Partner - Subclass 100 / 309
- Provisional Spouse (Temporary) - Subclass 309
- Prospective Marriage (Temporary) - Subclass 300
Family Visa
There are several Australian family visas available, however, the Australian government's website says there is currently capping and queueing in place for some of the visas and there may be extensive waiting times.

In the current times you might prefer that we don't visit your house in person to carry out a survey. This is fully understandable and we can just as easily undertake the survey by video call, using whatever method you're comfortable with, usually FaceTime or WhatsApp.

John and Gareth were very helpful professional and friendly and despite the really bad weather they made everything about the move as stress free as possible. We would highly recommend this team!

The team were absolutely fantastic. They were polite and professional throughout and took the stress away from us on moving day. They took care of everything and even found our son’s Christmas elves which was a huge help and helped settle our son into our new house.

How can we improve our service?
Think there are a few things pre-move day that would help.
- A general email to say what to expect, perhaps a video that shows what will happen. Moving house is stressful enough and this would’ve helped take the edge off.
- A text message to confirm what time the team is arriving, potentially with the team member names included - we feel this would be a nice personalised touch.
BUT - on the actual day the team were brilliant and should be praised for their efforts.

John, Rob, Tyler and Anthony were brilliant, we really hope they are praised by their Management. We will recommend to anyone else moving home due to these 4 gentlemen.
